About Planet Youth Wicklow

Planet Youth is an evidence-based primary prevention programme designed to enhance young people’s health and wellbeing.

By improving social environments and providing access to vital resources and community supports, the program reduces risk factors while strengthening protective factors in their lives. A key focus is preventing substance use (alcohol, tobacco, and drugs) during adolescence, a critical period when early use significantly increases the risk of long-term dependence and health issues.

By delaying or preventing substance use, Planet Youth helps ensure healthier, more fulfilling futures for young people.
