Wicklow’s First Sleep Week Initiative

August 12, 2026

Planet Youth Wicklow is launching the first-ever *Sleep Awareness Week* running from Monday 24th to Friday 28th August.

The campaign responds to the 2024 Planet Youth Wicklow findings, which showed that 55% of young people reported not getting enough sleep.

As the new school term begins, Sleep Awareness Week will help young people and families reset their routines and highlight the importance of healthy sleep as a protective factor for wellbeing.
